Club Membership Information
PACKERS has an annual membership fee which runs from April to March. Becoming a member and part of PACKERS means that members enjoy full access to equipment, coaching, trips and the website.
The membership fee is decided by the committee each year and approved at the AGM in March. Our goal is to make our sport as accessible as possible in terms of the price of membership to individuals and families, while generating enough money to cover our obligations.
As a 'not for profit club', 100% of the collected membership fees and club night fees are put back into the club to cover our costs of operating, such as our British Canoeing affiliation and insurance, the ground rent for the containers, the launch fees and hiring the pool. Coaches and other volunteers in the club are not paid. The surplus is used to develop coaching and improve and maintain our paddling equipment.
